Stop-Fuss!

Hair typing is another way of justifying our roots. When roots become known, hair typing becomes unknown. I've notice lately in natural hair forums that women bicker about things that are even worth bickering about. Why on earth do natural women argue on social media about loose to course hair? We get it, its hair!!! But the difference between them all is how to take care of it. In 2017, loose hair seems to be more favorable than course hair but that topic is for another time. Personally, hair tying is just down right ghetto in  a sense. Its a way to divide and conquer so to speak. A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. Can we just stop it already?

Lets talk about course hair, since it isn't as popular as loose hair. We all know that hair in general is a touchy subject, however, growing thick skin is what all naturals do prior to the big chop or right after. Kinky, coily -like hair is thick, and it absorb sunlight, and it has a mind of its own. If you notice, after the big chop, our hair gravitates to the sunlight.
Remember hair is composed of the following elements: Carbon, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Hydrogen and Sulphur. Which means, OUR HAIR IS DEGRADABLE.
Taking care of course hair usually requires more moisture than non-course hair. Without moisture, the hair is more prone to breakage; whereas, non-course hair may not be prone to anything at all. Even though some argue that putting PRODUCT in your hair isn't natural either. Leaving us low and dry too- Damn if naturals do, damn if naturals don't.

ere are a few natural hair facts, no matter if you are natural, dyed, relaxed or permed.

HAIR FACTS:

  • (Just for MEN) Your beard can grow up to 30 feet in a lifetime (GET'R DONE)
  • Ammonia causes the hair to irreversible pH, which leaves the cuticles open and hard to close. Causing FADING and Damage (WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER)
  • The correct term for split ends is TRICHOPTILOSIS
  • Deep conditioning hair for longer than an hour has no additional benefits.

Disclaimer: Not once, did I proclaim being a natural hair EXPERT, however, due to 4.5 years of being relaxer-free, it was enough time to study the hair.
Remember, what works for me may not work for you.
